Tokyo Skytree 東京スカイツリー. On a clear day, you'll be able to see Mt. Fuji from the tower.

Japan Tour Review

Tokyo Skytree 東京スカイツリー is the world tallest tower at a height of 634.0 meters (2,080 ft) and the second tallest structure in the world after Burj Khalifa (829.8m / 2,722ft). The tower is primarily used for digital television and radio broadcasting coverage for the Kanto region, since Tokyo Tower is too low and surrounded by highrises at this digital age-.

Photo Locations for Tokyo Skytree

Where are the best spots for taking picture of Tokyo Skytree? There are quite a few, but my favorite locations are as follows. The first two locations give a very nice water reflection of the tower on a river.

  1. Eitai Bashi 永代橋
  2. Jukken Bashi 十間橋
  3. Sensoji Temple 浅草寺
  4. Asakusa Tourist Information Center
  5. Sumida River 隅田川
  6. Tokyo Skytree itself

Asakusa Tourist Information Center is located across from the Thunder Gate 雷門 of Sensoji Temple and is free to the public without any admission fee. You can go to the observation deck on the top floor free of charge, which provides a bird-eye view of both Tokyo Skytree and Sensoji Temple.

Sumida River 隅田川

After visiting the Asakusa Tourist Information Center, you can always walk to the river bank of Sumida River for a close-up view of Tokyo Skytree.
