Takakkaw Falls is one of the many waterfalls in Yoho National Park and is fed by the Daly Glacier, which is part of the Waputik Icefield. The nearest village to the waterfalls is Field, BC which is about 10 to 15 minutes drive from Lake Louise.
This beautiful waterfalls in Canadian Rockies is a popular destination many tourists will want to visit. The hiking trail is short and easy, about 5min walk from the parking lot. There are plenty of parking space at the trailhead. The access road to the Takakkaw Falls parking lot is only restricted to cars. Trailers and buses are not allowed due to a narrow, steep hairpin switchback in a particular section of the access road. So plan ahead!
