Unlike many other waterfalls in Mt. Baker National Park, the Racehorse Falls has a natural swimming pool underneath. Located near the west border of Mt. Baker National Park, this waterfalls is easily accessible with a very short hiking distance of less than one mile round trip. Besides swimming, it can be used for camping, picnicking, yoga, meditation, or even kayaking! This waterfalls is not frequently visited by tourists, so it provides a secluded experience.

Racehorse Falls is located about midway between Bellingham and Heather Meadows on Mt. Baker Highway 542. The waterfalls is nearby Maple Falls; however, there isn’t any direct road from that town. The nearest community with access road to the falls is Welcome and Deming.
