September 18, 2013: Catch the one and only authentic yummy mooncake!!!

September 19, 2013 in Asia or September 18, 2013 in North America marks the celebration of Mid-Autumn Festival and signals the halfway through the fall season. Mid-Autumn Festival always falls on the 15th of August (full moon) in lunar calendar and is one of the four biggest celebrations in Chinese culture. The other three are Spring Festival, Dragon Boat Festival (in summer), and Winter Solstice. Essentially one celebration per season.

Eating mooncake, viewing full moon, and lighting firecrackers are just some of the many festivities that occur on this special harvest season.
