Bow Lake is one of the many lakes along Icefields Parkway (Highway 93) in Banff National Park. This lake is very picturesque due to the surrounding distinct mountain, Crowfoot Mountain. On a windless day, the lake gives a crystal clear reflection of Crowfoot Mountain.
There are numerous short walking trails along the shore of Bow Lake nearby the historical Simspon’s Num-Ti-Jah Lodge. If time allows, you may want to venture up to the base of Bow Glacier to view the Bow Glacier Falls up close. Besides Bow Glacier, the lake shore is also the best spot to view Crowfoot Glacier.
